Actress Nikita Rawal to celebrate her birthday in her hometown Ahmedabad by paying tribute to late actress Shefali Jariwala with a performance on Shefali’s iconic number ‘Kaanta Laga'!

Actress Nikita Rawal who's a distant relative of veteran actor Paresh Rawal is all set to celebrate her birthday in her hometown Ahmedabad with a heartwarming tribute to late actress Shefali Jariwala. Nikita, who had known Shefali professionally in the past had earlier mourned her sudden and tragic demise due to cardiac arrest and now, she has planned a special gesture to pay a humble tribute to the late actress. On her birthday on 16th July 2025, Nikita Rawal will be performing live on-stage in Ahmedabad where she's all set to bring the magic of Shefali Jariwala back with an electrifying performance to the iconic song 'Kaanta Laga'.

On being asked more about the thought behind this gesture and idea, Nikita exclusively shares,

"Birthdays are a constant reminder for us that we have lived another year successfully on this planet. While birthdays are symbolic to life, the other dark side to it is death, especially if it's sudden and inevitable. When I heard about Shefali's demise, I was personally very hurt. She was young and she had all the reasons to live longer. I am sure she herself wanted to live longer and celebrate her life more. The best thing about being an artiste is that while your body might no longer be there after death, your work will remain immortal. I wanted to carry forward this thought and ensure I make her live more amongst people by doing my bit.

That's when I thought I should pay a humble tribute to her in my own way & well, what better day than my own birthday for this thought to be executed? I had known her professionally, met her a few times at events and I always found her full of life and happiness. I have my live performance happening in my home city Ahmedabad on my birthday and over there, I will be performing to 'Kaanta Laga' on-stage as a form of tribute to her and her work over the years as an artiste. May God bless her family with strength and may Shefali's soul realize that here in this beautiful world, we are always going to be celebrating her legacy & work whenever we have an opportunity. Thank you to everyone for all the good wishes for my birthday. My gratitude to one and all."

Kudos to Nikita Rawal for coming up with such a beautiful & thought-provoking gesture. On the work front, the 'Ammaa Ki Boli' & 'Garam Masala' actress has some interesting project developments happening at her end and the official announcements are set to unfold soon.
