Ganpati is a time for togetherness: Arshin Mehta

Arshin Mehta, who was seen in films like Circle (Telugu), Main Rajkapoor Ho Gaya, The Rally, Sallu Ki Shaadi, Catfight (a short film), Prem Yuddh (Gujarati), and recently in The Diary of West Bengal, says the Ganpati festival is a time to meet friends and family and celebrate it together.

She said, “For me, Ganpati is a time for togetherness. It’s a special occasion where I get to reconnect with friends, visit their homes, and celebrate. I often skip meals and enjoy the delicious Ganpati Prasad instead.”

Arshin has been living in Mumbai for approx seven years now, though she hasn’t brought Ganapati home, she has indulged in the festivities with utmost enthusiasm. Whenever she had some free time during the festival, she would visit her hometown, Ahmednagar, which is now known as Ahilya Nagar.

She further said, “Over the years, I’ve seen how hosting Ganpati at home requires a lot of responsibility because you need to stay home for the entire celebration. With my line of work, which often involves shoots or travel, it's difficult to manage. For now, I enjoy celebrating Ganpati in my colony.”

“I believe devotion comes from within, whether it's at a temple or any other place. I never miss an invitation to a Ganpati celebration, whether it’s at a friend’s place or a work event. The fervour of Ganpati can be seen in Mumbai. The vibe is in the air. I wish peace and happiness for everyone,” she ended.
