Jamai No. 1: Sumati curses Neel

In today’s episode, Neel, along with Riddhi, arrives at his house, surprising Sumati, who had firmly believed that Neel would never get married. The sight of them together leaves her in shock. Unable to contain her emotions, Sumati immediately assumes that Riddhi must have manipulated Neel into marrying her. Filled with rage, she accuses Riddhi of brainwashing her son and is about to slap her when Neel intervenes, firmly stopping his mother from raising her hand against Riddhi.
Meanwhile, Kanchan directs her anger towards Nani, blaming her for ruining Riddhi’s life. However, Nani remains steadfast in her stance and tells Vicky that the decorations will not be removed until the Grah Pravesh (traditional homecoming ritual for a newlywed bride) is completed. Sumati, already furious over the decision of Neel becoming a Ghar Jamai refuses to accept Riddhi as her daughter-in-law. She holds Riddhi responsible for driving a wedge between a mother and her son, further fueling the tension in the household.
Despite the hostility, Nani and Simran proceed with decorating Neel and Riddhi’s room, hoping to bring some joy to the newlyweds. However, on the other hand, Sumati, unable to tolerate the situation any longer, takes an extreme step—she throws Neel and Riddhi out of the house. In a fit of uncontrollable anger, she slaps Neel and curses both of them, declaring that they will never find happiness in their married life. With a heavy heart, she severs all ties with Neel and walks away, leaving him devastated.
Manjiri, too, stands against Neel, reprimanding him for his actions. She tells him to leave, claiming that he has failed both as a son and as a brother. While tensions escalate, Pratham tries to be the voice of reason. He urges Kanchan to accept the marriage, emphasizing that at the very least, Riddhi’s happiness should be considered.
Amidst all the chaos, Neel takes a quiet yet significant step. He hands over the house keys to Manjiri, revealing that he had purchased the house but requests her not to disclose this to Aai and Baba. Meanwhile, Nani, still upset, holds Kanchan responsible for Riddhi’s lack of traditional upbringing, accusing her of only teaching Riddhi about business and nothing else.
As emotions run high and relationships crumble, the family stands divided, leaving Neel and Riddhi to navigate their new journey together, despite the storm of opposition surrounding them.
